Pittsburgh Christian
Hockey Camp Ministry & Counselor Staff
The camp has a Camp
Minister and Spiritual Director, responsible for the overall
spiritual program and counselor teaming. The
2008 camp will see the return of our 2007 Spiritual Director,
Rev. Paul Cooper .
The Rev. Paul Cooper is the Rector (Senior Minister) at St. Christopher’s Church (Anglican/Episcopal) beside the Four Points Sheraton Inn in Cranberry Township/Warrendale. The Anglican/Episcopal Church is the colonial remnant of the Church of England – a unique combination of Catholic and Evangelical traditions. Paul was educated at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary is Boston, MA. He grew up in Zelienople, PA and still lives there today.
In addition to our Spiritual
Director, each year dozens of young men and women volunteer
a week of their summer to counsel a small group of our campers.
These counselors don’t always know hockey (they leave
that to the professional coaches!), but they are responsible,
Christian men and women who enjoy working with kids. Every
group has a senior counselor (over 18 years old) and many
have junior counselors (age 15 to 17) as well.
