Pittsburgh Christian Hockey Camp
Prayer Vigil

Please make a note:  The camp needs your prayers! Each year we have a volunteer pray for the campers and volunteers each each hour of the camp.  These volunteers have come from across the world.  Please visit this site starting June 1st to sign up as a volunteer for one of the hours!

Thank you for offering to pray for Pittsburgh’s Christian Hockey Camp. We believe that the success of the camp is dependent on the campers and volunteers being continuously covered with prayer. There are many ways that you can perform this very important role:

1) You can do this anyway and from anywhere you like. If you are already comfortable with or have your own approach, then there is no need to read further. But if you would like some suggestions or guidance, please keep reading.

2) Click on “Camp List” and you can see a list of all the campers, counselors, coaches and other volunteers for the camp. You can pray on each name, on the whole list, or you can ignore this step altogether and just pray for the camp.

3) If you are praying for the whole camp, you can either make up your own prayer – or if you like, just pray something like this simple prayer:

“Heavenly Father, thank you for this camp and the opportunity it provides for each of the campers. Let them in some way be touched by your Spirit this week. Help them to open their eyes and their hearts to you, so that they might experience and know your great love for them—a perfect love that exceeds all human understanding. Let the counselors, coaches and all the volunteers be inspired by you as they work in your name. Let this camp be for your glory. Amen.”

4) If you want to pray for each camper or volunteer by name, you can simply modify the prayer above to state each name.
