Hockey Ministries International
Since 1977, Hockey Ministries
International has been active in every area of hockey, including
youth, college and junior, European, Minor Pro, and the
NHL. Through camps, chapels, clinics and conferences, HMI
serves the spiritual needs of players, coaches, families
and fans.
HMI is a non-profit,
Christian organization that has been organizing and supporting
summer hockey camps through its Christian Hockey Camps International
outreach for nearly thirty years. This past year, HMI supported
more than 30 camps worldwide. Over 1,500 youth hockey players
attended a camp.
While the Pittsburgh
Christian Hockey Camp planning committee recruits campers,
counselors and volunteers, designs the camp logistics and
oversees the on ice and off ice curriculums, solicits the
support of churches, sponsors and individual donors, and
fills the key leadership roles during camp week, Hockey
Ministries International provides the professional coaches,
the on-ice curriculum, the spiritual workbook materials
and the financial and insurance underwriting for the camp.
